Desmond, One of the times that we need to REMEMBER to breathe, consciously, is when others try to make their point to us by being FORCEFUL. Not that it is not necessary at times for someone to be forceful; I speak of when it is inappropriate, when the party wants to make a topic of conversation or an off-handed remark, or small-talk into an issue.
Let us remember that stress from someone being forceful is a TOOL.
They are being "pushy" sometimes, because it is the only way they "know" to get their point "driven home" like a nail into wood.
My contention is that they do not have to "hammer" me.
I personally have to remember to not be taken aback by their forcefulness, and to take a STEP-BACK, and BREATHE.

Remember: If they did not care for you, they would say NOTHING AT ALL.

BREATHE. Then remember to engage their questions, otherwise, they will not believe you are addressing what concerned them in the first place, and they are likely to repeat themselves.
